On day 2 of my Moviepass, I went to see Tomb Raider at the 4 Star theater by my house. This movie theater uses E-tickets, so I was able to use the E-ticket option on my Moviepass app. This was an easy option and it downloaded the confirmation number on my phone and I just gave them the number and got my ticket. Tomb Raider is a retelling of the original, almost like a prequel of the original with Angelina Jolie. In this version, Lara has not accepted her father’s death, or her inheritance, she is kind of a tomboy, but not as aggressive and she later turns out to be. He finally accepts her fathers death, and moves into his house, where she finds out that he may be on a mysterious island, so she heads to the island to try to prove he is still alive. I liked this movie, although it didn’t quite have the action I was expecting, but it was fun to see how the character learned how to use guns and become the video game character we know. Some people may think this movie is a little slow, but it does have some action scenes and some character development. The one scene on an old airplane is very fun. If you liked the original, and are looking for a prequel, then I would check it out.
