Watched movie #145 The Meg. A creature attacks a deep sea research sub, leaving it disabled at the bottom of the ocean, and rescue diver Jonas must save the crew and the ocean from a 75 foot long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon. I really enjoyed this movie, it was funny and also a sometimes tense ride. It’s not a serious movie, although there are some tense scenes, i jumped once, but it also has some emotional and some fun comedy. Jason Statham was the main star and did a great job, he is good with comedy and action. I thought it was funny his name was Jonas (as in Jonah and the whale). The submarines were also cool, the reminded me of the Naboo fighters from the Phantom Menace. The other actors did a great job as well, some of the characters were the typical characters as seen in the deep blue sea, but it was still a fun movie. If you don’t take this movie too seriously and just enjoy it for what it is, you will have a fun time. Also the Chinese version of the song Oh Mickey was fun in the movie.
