Say Cheese

When I was growing up, there were a lot of things that I always dreamed that I would have when I grew up, like a beach house, a home theater, a phone in my car, a million dollars, and a photo booth.  Well I don’t have a million dollars(Yet) or my own home on the beach ( I do have a beach house that I can stay in, Thanks Dal and Carol) but I do have a phone in my car, and a home theater, but I still don’t have a photo booth.  In case you don’t know what a photo booth is, it’s those machines they have at arcades and amusement parks where you can have your picture taken and it comes out in a strip of usually 4 photos.  Why would you want a photo booth you may ask, well, I always thought it would be fun to have a photo booth in my house, and whenever anyone came over, they would  take a picture in the photo booth and then I would post them on the wall.  That way I would be able to remember everyone who came by my house to visit, and I always thought that would be a fun thing to do and fun to see everyone one the wall.  So I thought while I’m trying to figure out how to get my millions and my own beach house, why not see if I can get a photo booth.  So I went to eBay to see about buying one.  How much could one be?  Well about 4,000.00 to 18,000.00.  That’s more that I want to spend.  Maybe I can build one.  Do they have software that I could buy?  Guess what, they do, and it’s not that expensive.  All you need is a computer, a web cam, and a printer to print two rows of photos on a 4×6 sheet.  I have a printer and a computer, so all I need is a web cam, so guess what,  I bought one.  Now I just need to download the software and I will  have the workings of a photo booth.  Now I just need to build a booth to add the computer, screen and camera.  I guess I should also think about where would I put it.  When I was a kid, I was going to have a mansion on the beach, so there was a game room where I could put it, but since I don’t have that yet, where should I put it in my current house.  Should I put it in the living room, or maybe my dinning room, i’m not sure?  I should probably figure that out before I build one, but for now, I can at least take pictures.  So, next time your over at my house, say cheese!
