Watched movie #133 Gauguin: Voyage de Tahiti in French with English subtitles. French painter Paul Gauguin moved to Tahiti and falls in love with a younger woman who inspires him to paint his most famous paintings. This movie was a little boring, but seemed to pick up a bit half way through. The story focuses on the relationship with a younger woman from Tahiti and their eventual breakup. Ultimately a sad story, like most foreign and independent films are. The cinematography was amazing with views of Tahiti. It was interesting to learn that he only became famous after his death, where he died broke and alone. If you are interested in learning about Paul Gauguin then you may want to see this, otherwise i would pass.
